Jenanne Raises The K Class Bar
Last week the Bill Couldrey built, 1945, K Class – Jenanne glided back into the water at the Milford Slipway after some serious TLC.
Note the boot topping colour – very flash for a 77 year old lady.
Me thinks sunglasses will be needed for the rest of the K fleet crews 😉
Very nice looking paint job there. I’m guessing this is another JP special. Well done Peter, she’s looking very bling!
Gary, looks to me the antifoul is just a tickle up for the boot topping and waterline. It will all look normal after a while.

I sailed on Jenanne many times in the 90s with her then owner, Richard Watts (RIP). She’s redolent in traditional build, timbers and just oldschool woodie atmosphere. So good to see someone has put such immense effort ( did I mention lucre?) into her restoration.

Its a great pity that now there is a good group of K class in the Auckland area they dont sail together, the squadron winter series classic days would be ideal
