TAURAKA SOS – (free to a good home)
Back in Sept 2015 we featured the launch Tauraka on WW, I had photographed the 32′ launch several times at the Lake Rotoiti Classic & Wooden Boat Parade. Sadly Tauraka has been allowed to deterrent over the last few years, but at ‘free-to-a-good-home’ Tauraka would be a great project.

Still a great sound boat,we owned her for about 15 years on Rotoiti.Was built 1912.I have photo of her when first launched,was a gaff rigged motor sailer.Good luck to the next owner.

Nice interior layout and proper helm! Return her to the Waitemata, stick a mast on, some external trim and take a chainsaw to the dodger to be replaced by a more simple roof and canvas. She’ll look great gor not s lot of money or effort.
