Don’t know about “Seiva”, but “Raema” is a Scottish name

Ray, my first thought was that it is a Maori name, but it isn’t, nor does it seem to be a Samoan/Tongan or Tahitian/Cook Islands name. Gordon Bartleet who had her built had only just arrived in NZ from England after service in the British Army in WW1. In 1938 he had REHIA built by Colin Wild, and that’s a pukka Maori word.
He married in 1927 so it’s not a daughter’s name.

Can anybody tell me the origin of the name,I had an old uncle, a kauri bushman all his life and one of the pastimes in the bunkhouse was speaking “esperanto” he named his only daughter “Raema” and his son “Seiva” but I forget the meaning of each. Would there be any connection??
