The above drawing records the travels of Kiariki during a Feb 1960 cruise to Kawau Island & onto Russell in the Bay of Islands.

Clearly it’s a pun. The gentleman on the left is in a flap over reverse. The dame is a flapper from Jack’s 1920’s past.
