This is a bit off theme – but does anyone know anything about the HMS Pandora? (she WAS a wooden ship!) Engaged on the Great Survey of NZ 1851/6. she used Opopo Bay as her base, and was there 645 days of the 5 years, while drawing up charts, sailing directions etc when the weather was unsuitable for other work. I’m writing the life story of Thomas Kerr, cartographer, missionary, and meteorologist whose diaries I found at Mt Eden and transcribed. Any information would be appreciated.

To cover the unknown. From the Skipper of Seafarer, the unknown launch is “Waireka”, owned by Jack & Crol Rogers. She is a Chris Robertson design.
