WW has run numerous stories on the very appealing classic clinker runabouts built by the Seacraft company in Auckland. Well maintained examples tend to be snapped up by the ‘lake crowd’, todays woody is already at Lake Taupo, would be nice to liberate her and let some salt water into her kauri hull.

I saw this little boat at Taupo in the weekend. Pity they did not put an origanal cabin on it , otherwise a tidy boat.

Great to see. I am currently rebuilding one of these boats that has had a hard life. The cabin was wiped off at some stage so I am rebuilding in an open runabout with forward controls to a 40hpob. Happy to send some pictures if interested.
