MOEROA (Long Sleep) has been around Whangarei and Tauranga and other North Island ports for many years. Chris Rabey says that the name WIKARO showed up when she was scraped back some years ago. The hull looks like a workboat to me, and all the better for it.

MOEROA was moored at Flat Rock back in the 70s which is in the upper Tamaki river, She was owned by a chap named Eddie who at the time was building a house at Great Barrier. He would load Moeroa up with timber and other building materials and head out most weekends .Should be well known out there. When he sold her she went to Tauranga. Powered by a 4 cyld Ford Trader in those days and about 32ft.
