An Impressive Line Up
the sender of the photo will be disclosed later, might give the game away.
Left to right – who can ID the 4 launches, #4 will be a challenge but if you get the other 3 then the 4th should ‘follow’.
Location is Katherine Bay.
Harold – for you to win you will have to name the dinghy as well 🙂
God can use the edit key 😉

I think Murray has hit the jackpot, a moulded veneer Mosquito or similar….obviously not a Squadron Dinghy which was clinker.

Mosquito craft sailing dinghy popular in the squadron?

I think it could be one of the Parkers as it has rudder pintles as a sailing dinghy. Unsure of what a squadron dinghy is, but needless to say they are squadron launches and at least Grandpa Jack’s if not Whakari and Rakanoa flew the blue ensign. Mum took this photo in 1967 I think.

Nice little sailing dinghy. At the risk of generating a storm of controversy, it looks rather like a “Squadron Dinghy” of the time, offset outboard pad and all.
