WAKATOA
photos ex Heather & Keith (Paea)
Heather & Keith spotted Wakatoa while on a road trip to Thames. Anyone able to supply some more on her background?
ps – you have to love the berth 🙂

Indeed and she had a lovely sheerline –I wonder if that is still the case sitting like that. Of course she is multi skin so hopefully…..Also had a little ketch rig early on.

You have to wonder with a berth like that, whether the worm has got to her yet.

One of my favourites, lived just off the ramp at Okahu bay for a good 20 years with occasional forays up north, had a Ford then (80’s-90’s)

She has a couple of CYA stickers on her and features in the CYA Yacht and Launch Register. According to the Register she was built on the Hokianga in 1939.
