CAROUSEL
Today’s woody is another photo from Bryce Strong’s collection – the launch is named Carousel and is a mystery to the WW data-base.
Can anyone help us uncover her provenance?
REMEMBER WOODYS – ONLY 3 DAYS TILL THE LUNCH CRUISE TO THE RIVERHEAD TAVERN
I’ll be emailing out meeting times etc today to attending boats and those attending by car 🙂

Carousel is on Lake Te Anau & has been since 2005. I operate the vessel commercially for cruises.
If anyone would like more details I’m happy for you to contact me.

I looked at Carousel ~25 years ago in a search for such a boat. Stunning lines as you can see, typical of an Oliver and Gilpin, 44′ if I remember correctly. But she was being run by a nice fellow as a snapper day-group charter, and was a little worser for wear in many ways at that moment than I could manage. That combined with a severe lack of headroom discouraged me. So I bought another O & G that needed bigger work that was better disguised! LOL. 3 years, 2 new motors, new foredeck, new tanks , new flybridge and recaulking later etc… I had my dream O+G. So here we are a further 15 years down the track, doing another refit. Cheers.
