By the vintage of the Johnson or Evinrude on the dinghy, I’d say it has to be the later 1940s or 50s.– KEN RICKETTS

iI think it is LIDGARDS, — (Smelting House Bay), with the edge of the ramp up to the boatshed on the left along with one of theadjacent piles & the boats NERRIDES & possibly RANGER

The venue winner (via email) is Baden Pascoe – its Whitianga & the year = Dec 1950.

I would guess that it’s Tasman National Park. Possibly Opposite Adele Island.
Two boat look like Rongomau and Rainbow (Both owned by Dimmocks) so maybe late 1970s Early 1980s.
