A quiz – name the boat – its Luana before she was ‘enhanced’ – Colin P won. His prize? he gets to be my boat boy on the CYA launch cruise to the Riverhead Hotel this Sunday 🙂

    What a most beautiful old vessel! I do not know her name, however her clear pedigree, showing so clearly the evolution from the first motor launches which were simply yacht hulls with inglorious cabin structures to launches such as Ngaio, then this one with wheel house and cockpit shelter , on to bridge deckers through to ships like Trinidad and Lady Crossley.

    Perhaps one day I will mature into a lovely old launch.

  3. You have to be kidding of course — it’s LUANA — I think the whole of NZ knows that beautiful boat — will get a good numer fo replies anyway, young Alan — good idea for getting peoples finngers on to their keyboards
