Mataroa Cruise + Win Boat Show Tickets

Today’s post shows the 1928 Joe Slattery built launch Mataroa (launched as Kenya) on what appears to be a Gulf cruise. The photos are from the marine photographer, Tudor Collins, Auckland Museum collection. Emailed to me by Ken Ricketts).
Mataroa was for sale recently on trademe & is from the trademe photos appeared to be very original & while needing some serious TLC, had the makings of a very pretty classic. The good news she has been sold & a restoration is planned. Hopefully her owner will share details & photos with us. ww search her name to view / learn more about her.
