Gidday guys,
I have an old Boat called the Naomi, which my father found many years ago hidden in scrub at Diamond Harbour. After restoring her, we have had her for many years. Naomi was built in 1908 by the company that built some of the Auckland Harbour ferries, Bailey & co. She was built as a supply vessel and worked in the Bay of Islands and around Waiheke and Great Barrier Islands in Waitemata Harbour.
Built from kauri, triple skin construction, Naomi is 40 feet long, 12 feet wide, and has a draft of just under 4 feet.
I have some great old photos of her, so will get them to you guys as soon as I master this iPad. Was given an iPad for Xmas, so still learning. Hope that the Naomi is of some interest to you.
Kind regards
Greg Sole.
