The adult in this photo is certainly John HIves. As far as I know John is still living (in Australia) For many years in the 1960s he was a Fuller’s skipper of the gamefish launch MIss Brett : I was also a Fullers skipper 1963 -2004 (in the 1960s of Miss Ida and Miss Sandra – of 1000lb blue marlin fame 28 March 1968)
Snooks Fuller has been in contact with John Hives for more than forty years with John visiting from time to time. Snooks lives at Paihia with wife Lola.
I have skippered Esperanza II though not often, probably when the regular 1960s skipper George Lynch was away on leave.
