Clarionet – Sailing Sunday
Today’s woody is the Chappelle designed schooner- Clarionet, seen here early one morning in Whangamumu, Northland getting ready to get underway.
The photo was taken in 2011 by Dan Wright.
I understand these days she calls Mahurangi home.

She is for sale on Trademe for a give away price when all the huge number of hours and love that went into her build. There are some great pix of her interior and someone will is going to get an absolute treasure.

I’ve admired this design since I first saw it in Chapelle’s “Yacht Designing and Planning” nearly 60 years ago. “Clarionet” Is exquisite; you’d be hard put to find a prettier boat of this size and type
